Nova Bridge School: Terms & Conditions (A Brighter Learning Journey)

Welcome to Nova Bridge School! We’re thrilled to have you join our vibrant online learning community. These terms and conditions outline our academic and administrative policies to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience for all. Please take a moment to review them carefully.

Making Your Education Affordable (Financial Terms)
  • Flexible Payment Options: Spread out your tuition costs with our 4-installment payment plans at 0% interest for the academic program (details available upon request). We also offer a 1-payment plan for our extracurricular programs.
  • Course Fees: Our course fees are transparently displayed at the time of registration.
  • Proctoring Fee: A one-time fee applies to courses with final exams requiring proctor supervision (details below).
Important Information (General Terms)
  • Refunds: We offer transfers between extracurricular programs within the first two weeks for added flexibility. Unfortunately, refunds are not available for the academic program.
  • Promotional Offers: Promotional offers cannot be used together.
  • Course Transfers: You can transfer between extracurricular programs within the first two weeks of the program’s start date (a $50 administrative fee applies).
Extending Your Learning (Course Policies)
  • Course Extensions: Need more time to complete your academic program coursework? Extend your deadline by 2 or 4 weeks within the last two weeks of the semester (additional fees apply). Please note this does not apply to extracurricular programs. There is a dedicated webpage “Course Repeat & Course Extension” with more information (hyperlink this text).
  • Attendance Policy: Regular login (at least once a week) demonstrates your active participation. Specific attendance requirements vary by program (details provided during registration). Chronic absenteeism may result in course withdrawal and the need to repeat the course (refer to “Course Repeat & Course Extension” for details).
Meeting Deadlines & Avoiding Penalties (Assignment Policies)
  • Late Submissions: We understand unexpected situations may arise. Assignments can be submitted within 2 weeks of the due date. However, late submissions will receive a mark of 0. Unfortunately, due to system limitations, resubmissions are not accepted.
Academic Integrity (Academic Honesty)
  • Plagiarism Policy: We take academic integrity seriously. Our instructors utilize plagiarism detection tools to ensure all work is your own. Consequences for plagiarism may include redoing assignments, parent/guardian notification, ethics assignments, suspension, or expulsion.
We’re Here to Support You (Communication & Support)
  • Email Response Time: Our dedicated staff aims to respond to your administrative and academic inquiries within 1-2 business days during office hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time).
  • Feedback & Marking Time: Expect feedback on submitted work within 5 business days. Marking and final report cards are typically issued within 5 business days of receipt or exam completion. Please note we observe national and regional holidays.
Understanding How You’re Learning (Assessment Methods)

We utilize various assessment methods to provide feedback and gauge your progress:

  • Assessment for Learning (AFL): Conducted by the teacher, AFL helps you understand the material.
  • Assessment as Learning (AAL): Conducted by you, AAL helps you develop self-reflection skills.
  • Assessment of Learning (AOL): Conducted by the teacher, AOL contributes to your final grade.
Creating a Positive Learning Environment (Code of Conduct)

We foster a respectful and inclusive learning environment. Inappropriate behavior may result in sanctions ranging from a meeting with involved parties to course removal. See the Code of Conduct for specific examples.
